Learn how the owner application, public pages, NFC products and planned membership work.

Vehara

What is Vehara?+

Vehara is an owner-managed digital record and sharing service for vehicles. It combines maintenance records, selectable public display modes and permanent NFC and QR links.

Do visitors need to install an app?+

No. A visitor can tap the NFC tag or scan the QR code and open the published vehicle page in a normal mobile browser.

Can I use Vehara without an NFC tag?+

Yes. You can create and manage a vehicle passport through the web application and use its QR or public link before purchasing an NFC product.

Is the current product a native mobile app?+

Vehara currently works as a mobile-friendly web application and installable PWA. It can be added to a phone home screen without an app-store download.

NFC and Starter Kit

What information is stored on the NFC tag?+

The tag stores a permanent Vehara web address. The vehicle details remain in the online service and can be updated without rewriting the physical tag.

What is planned for the Starter Kit?+

The planned kit includes an NFC vehicle sticker, an NFC keychain, a QR fallback, unique activation credentials and quick-start instructions. Final materials and specifications will be confirmed after beta testing.

Can I connect a tag to another vehicle?+

The current owner tools allow an active tag to be connected to another vehicle owned by the same account. The permanent tag address remains unchanged.

What happens if a tag is lost or damaged?+

The owner can disable the affected tag. A replacement product can later be connected without deleting the owner account or vehicle records.

Does NFC work with every phone?+

Many modern smartphones can read NFC tags, but compatibility and scan position vary by device. The printed QR code provides an alternative entry method.

Privacy and Public Pages

Can everyone see all of my vehicle information?+

No. The owner selects a display mode and publishes a controlled snapshot. Private account data is not automatically included in the visitor page.

Is my complete insurance policy number displayed?+

No. The current Insurance mode is designed to display only owner-approved basic information such as the carrier, policy-number ending and claims phone number.

Is the Call Owner button always visible?+

No. It is disabled by default. The owner must provide a phone number and deliberately enable the option before it is published.

Can I stop sharing a vehicle page?+

Yes. The owner can unpublish the visitor page or disable the connected NFC tag from the owner dashboard.

Does Vehara verify the vehicle history?+

Not currently. Vehicle information and maintenance records are provided by the vehicle owner and should not be treated as an independently verified vehicle-history report.

Pricing and Membership

Can I use Vehara for free?+

The planned Free tier supports one vehicle, a Basic profile and limited maintenance features. Final limits will be confirmed during beta testing.

What is the planned monthly price?+

The Vehara Monthly membership is $2.99 per month. The Vehara NFC Starter Kit would be purchased separately for $25.

What is included with the Annual plan?+

The Vehara Annual membership is $25 per year and includes one Vehara NFC Starter Kit in the first subscription year.

Will I receive another free kit every year?+

No. The complimentary Starter Kit is planned as a first-year Annual membership benefit. Annual renewals continue the software service but do not include another kit.

What happens if I cancel?+

The current plan is to keep a limited Basic NFC page available after the paid period ends while premium modes and advanced features become unavailable.

Can I purchase additional tags?+

Additional and replacement products are planned. Their final prices will depend on manufacturing, packaging and shipping costs established during beta testing.

Beta Program

Can I buy the Starter Kit now?+

Not yet. Checkout is not enabled during the current development beta, and joining the beta does not collect payment.

What will beta users help test?+

Beta users will help test vehicle setup, public display modes, NFC activation, tag scanning, mobile compatibility, installation instructions and the physical Starter Kit design.

Will the beta pricing change?+

It may. The current prices are planning targets and will be reviewed after measuring hardware, packaging, shipping, support and payment-processing costs.
